My name is Sharon….
My life journey has taken routes I never could have imagined.  I’ve done things that continue to blow my mind!  Yet the plans I initially had for myself were not the ones that flourished.

Back then, I thought if I worked hard success would result and God would be really happy with what I was doing for Him.  Truth be told, I was seeking some glory for myself.

I became deeply disappointed and hurt by fellow Christians who were not particularly interested in my works.  It seemed the only thing I did particularly well was consistently going before God for answers to my striving.  

This blog began in effort to help others in life’s difficulties, and maybe it has been beneficial to those who read it, but surprisingly it’s been a tool to help me connect with others as I navigate my own troubles.  

I started with the tag line “UNTETHERED,” a word I used to explain liberation from the world’s bondages.  I definitely needed to separate from ungodly things, but now I see that what I need most is CONNECTION and COMMUNITY ~ first with God (check!) and then with people (in progress).  

So cultivating community has become my new favorite thing.  Only I cannot connect alone…I need others like me.
